The Beleza logo was developed by Philadelphia-based designer Farofa. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, Farofa came to Philadelphia in 2002 to study International Business and Marketing at Drexel University after having travelled and lived in China, Japan, Switzerland, and Portland, Oregon. She spent the summer of 2003 at an internship at the Frudakis Studio in Glenside, PA under the tutelage of distinguished Philadelphia sculptor Zenos Frudakis, for whom she designed a brochure.

In addition to her studies at Drexel, she dances many styles including tango, lindy hop and house, and studies capoeira with ASCAB Philadelphia under Mestre Doutor. She also enjoys being a nuisance to others, being upside down, and claiming to be a monkey. She is currently applying for entrance to the Product Design program at Scuola Politecnica di Design in Italy.
