Dj Koji moved from Japan to Philly in the mid 90s' and started DJing in early '97. The whole Acid Jazz movement in the early 90's was the trigger for him to start collecting diverse genres of music, and developed his mixing style of Brazilian/Nu-Jazz music later on. He has been playing at various venues in the city including the legendary Silk City club and outdoor parties like Beleza and Messin' Around. His archived internet radio show "Global Soul Cafe" which ran from 1999-2000 on Media Bureau Networks is still loved by people around the globe and his trade mark of smooth but surprising mixes can be heard at www.beleza-music.org and www.brokenbeatradio.com now on the internet.
